With the Bihar assembly elections on the horizon, political tensions are running high, and the internal dynamics of the Lalu Yadav family have come under scrutiny. Tej Pratap Yadav, who had previously been removed from the family and party by his father, Lalu Yadav, had made a series of statements. Among these was a vow to expose certain members of his family. However, he has since backed away from this commitment.
Tej Pratap Yadav had previously used the social media platform X to announce he would reveal the identities of those he considered to be ‘traitors’ within his family. He planned to name five individuals whom he accused of plotting against him, claiming they were responsible for sabotaging his political career.
However, he has since changed his tune and remains silent on the matter. No revelations followed the ultimatum he had issued. When questioned about the lack of information, he declined to provide any further comment, stating that he was leaving for Begusarai.
Tej Pratap’s X post stated that five members of his family had conspired to ruin his political life. He had vowed to expose the individuals and their actions.
Following his expulsion from the family, Tej Pratap has adopted a rebellious stance. He has already decided to contest the next assembly election from the Mahua constituency. He has also formed his own party, ‘Jan Shakti Janata Dal,’ and is in the process of registering it with the Election Commission.
The decision by RJD chief Lalu Yadav to remove Tej Pratap from both the party and the family came after the release of social media posts, reportedly due to photographs of Tej Pratap Yadav with a woman named Anushka Yadav.
