Student Protest Over JPSC, JSSC Exams Leads to Formal Delegation
The ongoing sit‑in at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi, now in its 13th day, was launched to call for a CBI probe into alleged manipulation in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) and other recruitment examinations.
After the state government extended an invitation for dialogue, protestors have for the first time announced an official delegation. The group includes eight student leaders named above, two members of the press and a legal advocate.
The protesters have clarified that the journalists and advocate will function only as observers and guardians of the process. They will not address the government or voice any positions during the meeting.
A strict no‑recording rule will be enforced inside the negotiation room, a measure taken to keep the discussion peaceful, disciplined and fully transparent.
