Shivnath Express practice on technique to Maharashtra derails in Chhattisgarh; no casualty

NAGPUR: The Shivnath Express practice derailed at Dongargarh in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday whereas it was heading to Nagpur to Maharashtra, railway officers stated.

No casualty was reported, they stated.

Five wheels of two trolleys subsequent to the practice’s engine derailed on the Dongargarh yard at 3.42 am, a railway official advised PTI.

The practice was on means from Korba in Chhattisgarh to Itwari in Nagpur, he stated.

No passenger was injured.

They had been supplied meals and snacks, the official stated.

Relief trains from Gondia and Itiwari had been despatched to the accident spot, he stated.

The affected coaches had been eliminated and the practice later left for its onward journey to Rajnandgaon and Itwari, the official stated.
