Shahjahanpur Horror: Child Dies After Stray Dog Assault

In a horrifying turn of events in Shahjahanpur, an 11-year-old girl named Sawaliya was killed after being attacked by stray dogs while returning from the fields. The incident took place in the Kakra area where the child had accompanied her father to harvest vegetables. When she was sent back alone to call her uncle, a pack of dogs attacked her without warning. Eyewitnesses rushed to inform the family, but by the time help arrived, the damage was irreversible. The injured child was immediately taken to the Government Medical College, where doctors fought to save her life but ultimately failed. The family is inconsolable, especially her father who works as a daily wage earner on leased land. The tragedy has sparked protests among locals who blame the civic authorities for not controlling the stray dog population. Medical reports indicated multiple deep wounds caused by the attack. The family chose not to conduct a post-mortem and carried the body home, reflecting their grief and anger. This incident has once again raised serious questions about public safety in areas where stray animals roam freely.
