Delhi NCR is grappling with severe flooding as the Yamuna River surpasses the 207-meter mark. The water level at the Old Railway Bridge reached 207.48 meters on September 4, 2025, at 6:00 AM. The increased water levels are the result of high discharge rates from several barrages. The rising water has already infiltrated the main road of Monastery Market. The NDRF is actively engaged in rescue operations in the affected regions. The Nigambodh Ghat is inundated, interrupting cremation services. Over 700 people have been evacuated from flooded zones in Noida and Ghaziabad. A road closure has been implemented, affecting the route from ISBT to Tis Hazari.
