The deployment of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) within the Rajya Sabha has sparked outrage among opposition members, who view it as an affront to democratic principles. Leading the charge, Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury, alongside fellow parliamentarians from CPI(M), DMK, and Shiv Sena (UBT), criticized the government’s actions. Chowdhury confronted the government, questioning whether they were being treated as terrorists or Naxalites. She accused the government of using the CISF to intimidate them while failing to address real threats. She declared their refusal to be intimidated and their determination to stand their ground. Chowdhury highlighted the targeting of female MPs in Parliament. Chowdhury also pointed out the government’s inability to arrest real terrorists, citing the Pahalgam attack and questioning the authenticity of the arrests. She cautioned about the consequences of anger.
