Alexander Laloo Hek, Meghalaya’s Minister, has addressed the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, calling it a “pure organized and pre-planned crime.” The five individuals involved, including Sonam Raghuvanshi, have been remanded to police custody for eight days. The minister emphasized the government’s and the public’s resolve to see justice served, ensuring the accused are punished according to the law. He also shared his satisfaction after Raja Raghuvanshi’s family apologized to the state government and police. Hek praised the Meghalaya police for arresting the suspects and pointed out the significance of a mangalsutra and a ring recovered from Sonam Raghuvanshi’s suitcase as a “vital” clue. Raja Raghuvanshi’s body was found in a gorge in Meghalaya, during what was supposed to be a honeymoon trip.
