A drawing teacher in the Belgharia area of West Bengal was brutally attacked for objecting to public alcohol consumption. The incident occurred in the Nandanagar area under Kamarhati Municipality. The teacher, Nirupam Pal, confronted a group of individuals drinking on the roadside, which led to the assault. Separately, eight people died in a road accident on Saturday morning in Bihar. The crash occurred on the Daniyawan-Hilsa road, involving a collision between an auto-rickshaw and a heavy vehicle. The victims, residents of Reddy Malama village, were on their way to Fatuha for a holy dip.
