CPI(M) leader John Brittas has criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition, following Gandhi’s remarks regarding the ruling party in Kerala, alleging the Kerala Congress’s alliance with the BJP. Brittas accused Gandhi of creating confusion among ‘secular’ forces. The comments were made after Gandhi said he is ideologically fighting both CPI(M) and RSS. According to Brittas, rather than uniting the opposition, Gandhi is creating division. Brittas believes that the Kerala Congress is aligned with the BJP. The initial conflict began when Gandhi stated that both the RSS and CPI(M) were disconnected from the public. Gandhi said that his main issue with both groups is a lack of empathy. John Brittas was in Delhi to attend the all-party meeting ahead of the Parliament session. The INDIA bloc plans to raise the issues in Parliament, and demands that Prime Minister Modi address these issues during the Monsoon Session, starting from Monday. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address critical issues in Parliament. The monsoon session of Parliament will continue till August 21.
