Authorities are investigating the death of a nurse found at a nursing home in Hooghly district, West Bengal, on Friday. The woman’s body was discovered hanging inside the nursing home. The 24-year-old woman’s body was found in the nursing hostel in Singur. The family of the deceased is claiming that she was sexually assaulted and murdered because she had brought to light concerning practices at the nursing home. The nursing home’s management has dismissed these allegations and claims that she died by suicide. The nurse had only been employed at the nursing home for a brief period, just four days. Police have stated they are awaiting the autopsy report to guide their actions. In an unrelated incident, a bus accident in East Burdwan, West Bengal, claimed the lives of ten individuals and injured an additional 25. Five of the injured are in a serious condition. The bus was transporting passengers from Ganga Sagar when the accident took place.
