A teacher in Navi Mumbai has been arrested after being accused of making a semi-nude video call with a student. The boy’s father filed a police complaint, leading to the teacher being charged under the POCSO Act. Preliminary investigations indicate that the 35-year-old teacher had been exchanging inappropriate messages with the student via social media before initiating the video calls. After the student told his parents, they reported the matter to the police, stating the teacher’s actions had negatively impacted the boy’s mental well-being. The police have the teacher in custody, seized her mobile phone, and are currently looking into any previous instances of similar conduct. This arrest follows an earlier case where a teacher in Mumbai was arrested for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student.
