The Indian Navy will commission the second Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), the INS Androth, at the Visakhapatnam Naval Dockyard today. The inclusion of Androth in the Navy is a significant step forward in enhancing capabilities and indigenization.
Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) in Kolkata, Androth incorporates over 80% indigenous content, demonstrating India’s growing maritime self-reliance and commitment to new domestic technologies.
