New evaluation, analysis scheme in J-Okay to take impact from subsequent tutorial session

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has determined to implement the Student Assessment and Evaluation Scheme (SAES), below which uniform query papers can be formulated for all authorities and government-recognised faculties, from the upcoming tutorial session.

An official spokesperson mentioned on Saturday that the choice represents a big change that may put an finish to the normal examination system.

According to the NEP-2020 examination reforms, the aim of evaluation will change from one that’s summative and primarily exams rote memorisation abilities to at least one that’s extra common and formative, is extra competency-based, helps the scholars’ studying and growth, and exams higher-order abilities like evaluation, crucial pondering and conceptual readability.

The college students would obtain a multi-dimensional report card or a holistic progress card rather than a grade sheet, which might replicate every learner’s individuality and progress intimately, the spokesperson mentioned.

He mentioned a software program assisted by synthetic intelligence would create a 360-degree perspective of a pupil’s progress and assist him select the most effective profession.
