The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) facilitated the resolution of a vast number of cases through the 2025 third National Lok Adalat. Held in 29 states and eight union territories, the Lok Adalat tackled both pre-litigation and pending cases, including criminal matters, financial disputes, and consumer complaints. By 6:30 PM, preliminary reports indicated that 24,255,036 cases were settled, with a settlement value exceeding ₹7,817.62 crore. The initiative, which involved thousands of benches nationwide, provided a platform for resolving disputes quickly and affordably, reinforcing the shift towards amicable settlements as the preferred method of dispute resolution and enhancing access to justice for all citizens.
