NEW DELHI: Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi on Sunday stated he has declined the central authorities’s provide to be the following Attorney General of India.

Rohatgi instructed PTI that there was no particular motive behind his resolution.

The Centre had supplied the put up of AG to Rohatgi earlier this month to succeed K K Venugopal, 91, whose time period will finish on September 30.

Rohatgi was the AG from June 2014 to June 2017. He was succeeded by Venugopal, who was appointed to the put up in July 2017. The AG often has a tenure of three years.
