A remarkable business venture is taking flight, or rather, staying grounded, in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Brothers Virendra and Pushpendra Kushwaha, who operate as scrap dealers, have purchased a decommissioned 55-seater Border Security Force (BSF) cargo plane for approximately Rs 40 lakh. Their audacious plan is to transform the retired aircraft into a luxurious 4-5 room, 5-star hotel, offering a truly distinctive accommodation experience.
Inspired by a plane-turned-restaurant in Haryana, Pushpendra Kushwaha decided to pursue a more comprehensive hospitality concept. The Kushwaha brothers will create both a hotel and a high-end restaurant within the BSF plane, located in Ujjain’s Shankarpur. A central feature of their hotel will be a theme dedicated to the Indian Armed Forces, incorporating elements inspired by military operations such as Operation Sindoor. This thematic choice is intended to foster a sense of national pride and encourage greater respect for the military personnel.
The announcement has swiftly gone viral, igniting a wave of positive reactions across social media. Netizens have lauded the Kushwaha brothers for their creative thinking and the patriotic message embedded in their project. Comparisons to similar airplane hotels worldwide have surfaced, underscoring the appeal of such unique destinations. The public’s enthusiastic response suggests that this innovative hotel, once completed, is poised to attract a significant influx of tourists and become a landmark attraction in Ujjain.
