The Bombay High Court has agreed to hear the petition of the victims in the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, under the leadership of Maulana Arshad Madani, has declared its commitment to assisting the victims in their pursuit of justice.
Maulana Arshad Madani confirmed that the Bombay High Court has admitted the petition filed on behalf of the victims of the Malegaon-2008 bomb blast, which challenges the previous court’s decision. The court has issued notices to all seven accused, including Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and Colonel Purohit, alongside the NIA.
On social media, Maulana Madani announced that Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind would be enlisting the help of prominent criminal lawyers across the country to represent the victims in the Malegaon 2008 bomb blast case.
He further stated that the Bombay High Court has accepted the victims’ petition and issued notices to the accused, including Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Colonel Purohit, and the NIA. The next hearing has been scheduled for six weeks from now.
Maulana Madani noted that the special NIA court had acquitted all the accused in July 2025, citing a lack of evidence. The bomb blast victims are now seeking justice again in the High Court, with the support of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind’s legal aid.
He also explained that the victims had placed their complete faith in Jamiat and granted permission for a petition to be filed in the High Court. As a result, a hearing was held. In the future, leading criminal lawyers will be involved in the case, and the matter will be handled with full seriousness in the High Court.
