Air India announced the cancellation of its Milan to Delhi flight, scheduled for August 16th, because of a maintenance problem. The airline, a part of the Tata Group, is arranging alternative travel for affected passengers. The cancellation of flight AI138, which was meant to fly from Milan to Delhi, was prompted by a maintenance issue that was discovered during the pushback phase. Pushback is the process of moving the aircraft backwards from the parking spot. This enables the ground crew to safely move the aircraft away from the gate. Immediate support, including hotel arrangements and options for refunds or rebooking, was provided to all passengers by Air India’s ground team in Milan. Air India expressed its regrets for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation. The airline prioritizes the safety of its passengers and crew.
