Maharashtra: Sambhaji Chhatrapati debunks Raj Thackeray’s declare about Shivaji samadhi

PUNE: One should not speak on historical past until one is totally positive, Rajya Sabha MP Sambhaji Chhatrapati stated on Tuesday when requested about MNS chief Raj Thackeray claiming throughout his Sunday rally that the ‘samadhi’ of Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was constructed by freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak.

Speaking to reporters in Delhi, he stated the samadhi was constructed by social reformer Mahatma Phule in 1925, including that the actual credit score for its building went to all devotees and followers of the legendary warrior king.

Without naming Thackeray, he stated, “It is wrong for a responsible leader to make such a statement. One should talk about history only if you are 100 per cent sure.”
