The incident from Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, reveals a tragic story of betrayal and broken trust. A man named Sunil deceived a widowed woman, Kirti, into marriage, only to abandon her while she was eight months pregnant. He then married another woman, leaving Kirti to seek justice. Kirti’s husband passed away in 2022, and she began working to support her daughter. She met Sunil, a resident of Ambiganahalli, at her workplace. Sunil then deceived Kirti, and they were married. They registered their marriage in Chikkaballapur. However, Sunil used family opposition as an excuse to abandon Kirti, who was eight months pregnant, and married another woman. Kirti then sought justice and went to Sunil’s home in Ambiganahalli. Police were called to the scene, and rescued the pregnant woman, admitting her to the Chikkaballapur Maternal and Child Hospital. It is alleged that Sunil also molested Kirti’s daughter. A complaint had been filed at the Chikkaballapur Women’s Police Station. Sunil had signed a letter promising to take care of his pregnant wife. Kirti, after losing her husband, believed that Sunil would be her support during this difficult time.
