The devastating floods and heavy rainfall in Punjab have prompted Arvind Kejriwal to seek assistance. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the AAP leader has requested support from all political parties, state governments, and especially the central government. He also confirmed that all AAP MPs and MLAs will donate one month’s salary to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund. AAP workers are working tirelessly in the affected areas.
Kejriwal, in a video message, emphasized Punjab’s historical role in protecting India. He highlighted Punjab’s role in defending the nation against invaders. He underscored Punjab’s unwavering stance in facing difficulties. He added that Punjab is a state known for its sacrifices.
He pointed out the crucial role Punjab played during the Green Revolution, ensuring food security for the nation. He spoke of the current crisis, describing the widespread devastation caused by the floods, which have left many homeless, unemployed, and with lost livelihoods. He praised the unity and mutual support shown by Punjabis during this crisis.
Kejriwal appealed to all political entities to prioritize humanitarian efforts and support Punjab. He also urged the public to contribute. He provided donation details for the Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund.
