BJP MP Tejasvi Surya has stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it clear to the US President that India does not want external mediation regarding its relations with Pakistan, including issues surrounding Kashmir. This message was conveyed during a telephonic conversation. Surya noted the unanimous political position across all Indian political parties on this issue. He highlighted that India views Kashmir as an internal matter, emphasizing that every part of Kashmir belongs to India. During the conversation, PM Modi briefed President Trump on India’s Operation Sindoor. The Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri, confirmed that the Prime Minister stressed that India has never accepted and will never accept mediation. It was also clarified that the discussions did not involve any talks on trade deals or attempts at mediation from the US. The decision to halt military action was directly between India and Pakistan through established channels.
