A significant appointment has been made by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), naming Justice Prathiba M Singh of the Delhi High Court as the new chairperson for its Advisory Board of Judges for the 2025-27 period. Justice Singh will play a key role in shaping WIPO’s interactions and strategies with courts and legal professionals globally. Her leadership is expected to bring valuable insights, building on her extensive background, which includes her co-chair position on a World Health Organization (WHO) working group focused on AI in healthcare. The advisory board is further strengthened by the inclusion of nine other influential judges, all serving in their individual capacities to offer counsel. WIPO commended the dedication of these judicial leaders, acknowledging their vital contribution to the organization’s mission of fostering IP protection and innovation worldwide.
