Its three directions are the Bengal border in the south, west and east. At one time this village was quite backward. There were no means of irrigation. Due to farming, somehow the villagers used to earn a living. Nevertheless, by hard work and struggle, the villagers not only took care of the families, but also gave good education to the children.
Success started getting success from 2002 police restoration
After the formation of a separate state in the year 2000, the fate of this village of Jharkhand started changing. Boys and girls here started restoring in large number of government jobs. When three siblings of the same family were successful in the reinstatement of police in the year 2002, this village came under discussion. Shivprasad Mahato, son of late Manbhul Mahato, Sumitra Mahato and Seema Mahato had achieved this success. In that restoration, Dalagovind Mahato of the village was also restored, but later he got success in the bank and left the police job. After some time, Sushma Mahato, another daughter of Manbhul Mahato, also became a police i.e. three sisters and a brother in the same family are in the police job. After this, just like the sequence started. All the restorations of the police in the state, in all, the youths and women of this village continued to succeed.

Many policemen in the same house
Out of more than 40 policemen in Lanka, one Daroga (Dalagovind Mahato), three havildars and the remaining young men and women are soldiers. Like Manbhul Mahato, two or three brothers or siblings have achieved success in many other homes. Ashok Mahato, Chintamani Mahato and Diwakar Mahato are siblings and all three are in police jobs. Narayan Mahato, Vishwajit Mahato and Anand Mahato (all three brothers) are also restored in the police. Ravana Mahato and Vibhishan Mahato (both brothers), Raghunandan Mahato and Ashwini Mahato (both brothers), Gauur Mahato and Nitay Mahato (both brothers) are also in the police. Similarly, Mahendra Mahato, Ambuj Mahato, Renuka Mahato, Trilochan Mahato, Anantha Mahato, Ashwini Mahato, Parikshit Mahato, Lakshmi Mahato, Raju Mahato, Vishnu Mahato, Namita Mahato, Jyotsna Mahato, Mahindi Gorai, Devendranath Mahato, Vishwanath Mahato, Manikchandra Mahato, Umeshto, Mahato, Manik Mahato, Nirman Mahato and many other young men and women have got a police job .. Manikchandra Mahato is currently leaving the police job as a teacher.
