A devastating tractor accident in Kadokoda village, West Singhbhum district, has left a community in mourning and anger. The incident, which took place on Monday morning under the Jagannathpur police station’s purview, involved the death of Golak Nayak, a 28-year-old resident of Kadokoda Adivasi Toli, also known as Hariom Nayak.
Sources indicate that Hariom Nayak was sitting outside his home when a tractor, in the process of reversing, tragically struck him. The impact resulted in severe injuries and extensive blood loss, which proved fatal for the young man, who died at the scene. The unfortunate event occurred while he was relaxing in the morning sun.
Anger and unrest spread rapidly through the village following the fatal accident, with residents staging a protest. The Jagannathpur police, led by Station In-charge Avinash Hembram, arrived at the location to manage the crowd and investigate the incident. The police have confiscated the tractor, and the body of the deceased has been dispatched to Chaibasa Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Legal actions are being pursued in connection with the mishap.
