Villagers Beat Alleged Goat Thieves in Jharkhand, One Fatality Reported

A terrifying incident unfolded in Bindadiri village of Khunti district when locals formed a mob against four men suspected of stealing a goat. According to statements, the youths arrived in a car late Sunday and were caught after making noise while trying to hide the animal. The villagers encircled the area, apprehended the four, and forced three of them into the nearby woods. There, the suspects were bound to a tree trunk and subjected to continuous beatings with rods for hours. Police from the Murhu police station intervened after being alerted, rescuing the two injured survivors and transporting them to the district hospital. Unfortunately, Dildar Ansari died on the way, while Firuz Ansari and Nizam Ansari are receiving treatment for serious injuries. The police have filed a case against unidentified perpetrators and are conducting a thorough probe.
