Ranchi, Jharkhand, witnessed a brutal murder triggered by a dispute over a t-shirt. The argument quickly escalated into violence, culminating in the death of a man at the hands of three assailants. The body was discovered near a railway overbridge, prompting an immediate police response. Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime.
On May 24th, police discovered the body near a railway overbridge in the Chutia police station area. The deceased was identified as Shani Ram. The police formed a special investigation team to look into the matter. The team utilized various evidence and technical analysis to investigate the murder.
The arrested individuals were Sanjay Singh, also known as Jilu, Binnu Lohra, and Raja Kerketta, all residents of the Chutia police station area. The suspects confessed to the crime, and the stones used in the murder were recovered based on their statements.
The incident began when Sanjay tried to take a t-shirt from Shani Ram’s child, which led to a confrontation. Shani Ram assaulted Sanjay. Seeking revenge, Sanjay, along with Binu Lohra and Raja Kerketta, planned the murder. They found Shani Ram resting near the railway overbridge and killed him by hitting him with large stones. The perpetrators then hid the body in nearby bushes. The DIG, Chandan Kumar Sinha, stated that the murder was the result of a dispute over a t-shirt. The police have sent all three accused to jail. The deceased, Shani Ram, had a criminal history.
