The Shravani Mela 2025 is gearing up, with tent cities ready to offer Kanwarias a comfortable and convenient experience. These temporary accommodations aim to provide a familiar environment, especially for those travelling by vehicle on the Deoghar-Sultanganj route. Modern amenities are available in the tent cities being constructed in Kothia and Baghmara.
The tent cities are designed to provide the comforts of home, including beds for rest, bathing areas, toilets, medical aid, information centers, and adequate lighting. The Kothia stand tent city will accommodate one thousand devotees, with beds and fans provided. Additionally, 44 toilets and bathing areas are being constructed near the Kothia tent city.
Baghmara tent city will also offer restrooms, bathing facilities, and beds for a thousand devotees. The entire area will be well-lit. Both Baghmara and Kothia tent cities will house medical camps and information centers. Furthermore, vehicle parking facilities will be available near the Kothia tent city.
Security measures include the deployment of police forces and the setup of information dissemination centers near the Kothia and Baghmara tent cities. Police camps and information centers are being organized. Regular police patrols will ensure safety and security.
Traffic management is also a key consideration. Arrangements are being finalized to reroute vehicles from the Kothia and Paritran bus stands towards Hansdiha via the Rikhiya and Mohanpur routes. Detailed route information will be provided to devotees. CCTV cameras and AI will be used to monitor and manage crowd safety throughout the mela. Around 150 CCTV cameras are being installed along the Kanwaria Path.
The tourism department is establishing information centers at about six locations along the Kanwaria Path, in addition to the Kothia and Baghmara tent cities. These centers will provide information on religious and tourist attractions in Deoghar and across Jharkhand. Seating facilities will be available for the devotees.
Visitors from various states coming to Deoghar will receive information on Basukinath, Mata Bhadrakali, Netarhat, Rajrappa Maa Chinnamasta Temple, the Devdi Temple, and other religious and tourist locations. The tourism information center will present images and digital videos of all religious and tourist sites in Jharkhand. Staff will provide information on accessibility and transportation. The tourism department is in charge of setting up these information centers.
