During the Hera Panchami celebration, an event unfolded in Seraikela where Goddess Lakshmi, expressing her displeasure, damaged Lord Jagannath’s chariot. The Goddess was carried in a palanquin from the Srimandir to the Gundicha Temple. There, she requested Lord Jagannath to accompany her back to the Srimandir. When her request was denied, the goddess showed her anger by destroying the chariot, and afterwards, she returned to the Srimandir.
To celebrate Hera Panchami, a Bhajan Sandhya was held at the Kali Temple Community Hall in Kharsawan. The musical event featured performances by artists from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, led by Laxmidhar Barik, who presented bhajans dedicated to the glory of Lord Jagannath.
