During the Vijaya Dashami celebrations in Ranchi, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh outlined its vision for social transformation. Alok Kumar, a key speaker, discussed the organization’s plans for its centenary year, emphasizing a long-term commitment to community development. Kumar announced that the next two decades will be dedicated to achieving five key societal changes, aimed at creating a more empowered, self-reliant, and equitable society. He stressed that a truly unified nation requires equality for all its citizens. Environmental protection was also highlighted as a critical responsibility of every individual. Kumar further emphasized the family as the cornerstone of society, with strong and cultured families laying the foundation for a robust nation. He also advocated for the use of indigenous goods, positioning ‘Vocal for Local’ as a vital strategy for India’s economic self-sufficiency. Kumar defined a responsible citizen as one who prioritizes their duties, with rights naturally following. He also referenced the historical context of Vijaya Dashami, encouraging people to overcome their inner negativity and use their knowledge and resources for the benefit of society. As part of their outreach, Sangh volunteers will be visiting homes to promote education, patriotism, disaster management, and social awareness. Despite heavy rainfall, volunteers participated in a disciplined march, followed by traditional weapons worship, symbolizing strength and discipline. The event saw the presence of numerous prominent figures.
