The Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi became the site of a protest when BJP MLA Dr. Kushwaha Shashibhushan Mehta was denied a room. Despite having confirmed reservations for two rooms, he was told upon arrival that only one room was booked. He then sat on the floor in front of the reception and consumed his breakfast there. The MLA questioned the management of the building and its purpose, which was built at a high cost. He appealed to Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take action. The Jharkhand Bhawan, which opened on September 3, 2024, boasts modern amenities and includes 50 guest rooms, along with suites for VIPs.
