The 15-day residential training camp organized by the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Jharkhand Province, concluded at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, Ranchi, with a significant closing ceremony. Chitra Tai Joshi, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Karyavahika, delivered the key address, stressing that Bharat Mata embodies the life force of the nation, sustaining its needs. She urged dedicating all actions and moments to Bharat Mata.
The event also commemorated Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th birth anniversary, recognizing her as a model of service, justice, and righteous rule in Indian history. Her work in restoring religious sites was highlighted for its role in reviving the nation’s cultural spirit. The camp also focused on the inspiration derived from Ahilyabai’s initiatives for women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance. Rani Durgavati’s sacrifice in defense of the motherland was remembered as a symbol of courage and patriotism, encouraging attendees to learn from her ideals.
Chief Guest Nirmal Kaur, a retired Director General of Police, commended the Sevikas’ discipline, energy, and service orientation, acknowledging the camps’ role in fostering patriotic citizens. The closing ceremony saw participation from over 2000 people from various community sectors.
The camp involved 225 Sevikas from 20 districts of Jharkhand, aiming to foster discipline, physical fitness, patriotism, and cultural values in young women. Daily activities included yoga, exercise, intellectual discussions, and service initiatives. Comprehensive training was provided across physical, mental, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions. The camp was guided by 14 instructors and 10 provincial-level officers, with guidance from senior leaders such as Sunita Haldekar, Chitra Tai Joshi, and Nita Ba. Padma Devi, the field contact head, provided consistent support. The curriculum included discussions and activities on patriotism, civic duty, social harmony, promoting indigenous products, and environmental protection, under the guidance of chief instructor Manu Shri.
A notable event was the parade conducted by the Sevikas in full uniform on June 6, which was warmly received by the public. The procession started and ended at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, passing through key locations.
