In a daring attack that has rattled the capital of Jharkhand, a real estate businessman was shot and killed in the Pandra OP police station area of Ranchi. Bhargav Singh, who regularly visited the Hanuman temple near the OTC ground, was targeted by a masked assailant on his way back home. The attacker reportedly fired from behind, leaving Singh critically injured on the pavement. The noise of the gunfire drew the attention of local residents and Union Minister Sanjay Seth, who was at his nearby residence. Seth immediately coordinated with the police to move the victim to a medical facility under emergency conditions. Tragically, the medical team could not save Singh's life. The Ranchi police have intensified their probe, focusing on the victim's business dealings. It has surfaced that Singh was embroiled in a legal and personal conflict over a large plot of land, which is now the central focus of the homicide investigation. With one arrest already made, the police are optimistic about capturing the entire gang involved. The incident has prompted sharp criticism from opposition leaders and local residents who are demanding stricter patrolling in residential and commercial hubs.
