Ranchi police have arrested two individuals involved in the assault of traffic police personnel at Kathal Mod Chowk on June 9th. The suspects, Hans Yadav, also known as Putti, and Munna Yadav, also known as Akhilesh Yadav, were paraded in public with handcuffs at the location of the assault. The altercation arose when traffic officers attempted to manage traffic, which was being disrupted by an auto-rickshaw. The driver and others then attacked the officers with sticks and stones, leading to injuries to Home Guard Rohit Ganjhu. The arrests were made following an extensive investigation using technical analysis and video evidence, with raids conducted across Ranchi, Latehar, and Palamu districts. The police sent a clear warning that violence against law enforcement will not be tolerated, emphasizing that anyone who engages in such actions will be held accountable.
