In a significant move to foster economic growth in rural areas, JSLPS organized a comprehensive entrepreneurship and loan distribution program in Medininagar, Palamu. The event commenced with the lighting of a lamp by Medininagar SDO Sulochana Meena, alongside NDC Neeraj Kumar and DPM Anita Karketta, signaling a strong commitment to empowering local women. District Program Manager Anita Karketta outlined JSLPS’s mission to promote small-scale entrepreneurship among rural women and streamline their access to bank loans. This financial year has been particularly fruitful, with the establishment of over 14,000 small businesses across Palamu. These entrepreneurial endeavors include a wide array of activities such as running kirana stores, food stalls, crafting bangles, and producing packaged goods like snacks, flattened rice, edible oils, and flour, alongside dairy ventures. Guidance from the District Collector has been pivotal. SDO Meena inspired the attendees to pursue innovative business ideas and strive for self-sufficiency, emphasizing the goal of poverty alleviation and creating distinct market presences. The government’s support for these women is robust. To mark the occasion, six enterprising women—Durgawati Devi, Sulekha Kumari, Manju Devi, Supriya Devi, Rani Begum, and Reena Devi—were presented with symbolic checks representing their loan approvals.
