A shocking act of violence and humiliation has occurred in Khukhra village, located in the Bero police station area of Ranchi, Jharkhand. A 70-year-old man was targeted after being accused of molesting a woman. Five individuals were involved in the incident. The elderly man was severely beaten with sticks and then forced to lick spit in public. A video of the incident has been widely shared on social media, causing a public outcry.
The police are investigating the matter, following a complaint filed by the victim, Afinader Sahu, against Vijendra, Rambhajan Singh, Prakash Singh, Jitendra Singh, and Prakash. A counter-complaint has also been registered. Law enforcement has arrested one individual and is conducting raids to apprehend the other suspects. The police have assured that they will take swift action to arrest all those involved in this heinous act.
