In a touching display of empathy, SP Raj Kumar Mehta of Jamtara district organized and facilitated the wedding of Basomati Kisku, a Santhali orphan from Menjhia village. Following the death of her parents and siblings, Basomati lacked family support. The SP took on the role of a father, providing for the wedding and performing the Kanyadaan.
