A fatal accident occurred in Giridih during a Muharram procession, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. The incident happened in the Chokosinha area, within the jurisdiction of Ghordhamba OP. A steel ‘tazia’ came into contact with a high-voltage wire, causing a severe electric shock. One person died at the scene, while two others are in critical condition. Several other participants also received injuries. The event has brought a sense of mourning, replacing the festive mood of Muharram with sorrow.
