Residents of Torpa block are celebrating a new chapter as 109 families have officially entered their newly constructed homes. This significant housing development was facilitated through various government schemes, with the Abua Awas Yojana playing a pivotal role by providing 95 families with their own houses. The initiative also saw the completion of 13 homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and one under the Ambedkar Awas Yojana. Celebratory events were held across the block, with a main ceremony at the block office where district council member Sushanti Kongadi presented keys and ownership documents. This initiative directly addresses the critical need for housing, enabling rural families to achieve a long-held aspiration. Local leaders and officials were present to witness this joyous occasion and commend the government’s commitment to improving living standards through such housing programs.
