A devastating event unfolded in Jamtara, Jharkhand, as a mud house collapsed due to unrelenting heavy rainfall, leading to the deaths of a grandmother and her grandson. The incident happened in Kalipathar village, under the Naala police station area, late Wednesday night. The young child, Manish Kumar Hembram, aged two and a half years, died at the scene. His grandmother, Binodi Kisku, succumbed to her injuries on Thursday morning while receiving treatment. The grandmother’s daughter-in-law was also injured in the collapse and is currently receiving medical attention for a broken leg.
