To improve disaster response capabilities, a 30-member NDRF team was deployed to East Singhbhum district in Jharkhand on July 3, 2025. The decision to deploy the team came after the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Karn Satyarthi requested support from the state’s disaster management department.
The team, consisting of 4 officers and 26 other members, is prepared to address various emergencies such as floods, water accumulation, gas leaks, and drowning cases. The team’s prompt action led to the rescue of a person from the Jadugora reservoir, situated about 30 kilometers away from Jamshedpur, marking the success of their initial operation.
