Dr. Kushwaha Shashibhushan Mehta, BJP MLA from Panki, Jharkhand, expressed his displeasure over not being given a room at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. The MLA had booked two rooms in advance and confirmed the booking. However, upon arrival, he was informed that only one room was available. He questioned the authorities regarding the allocation of rooms within the Bhawan but did not receive a satisfactory response. As a mark of protest, the MLA sat on the floor near the reception and ate his breakfast there. He urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take action to rectify the situation and ensure that Jharkhand MLAs are treated with respect. The modern Jharkhand Bhawan, built in 2024 at a cost of over 100 crore rupees, is a state-of-the-art seven-story building with 50 guest rooms, suites for dignitaries, and VIP accommodations.
