Deoghar, Jharkhand’s famous Baba Baidyanath Dham is bustling with devotees during the Sawan month. The temple opened its doors early Tuesday morning and since then, an unbroken line of devotees has been performing Jalabhishek. So far, more than 1.8 million devotees have participated in the ritual. To provide relief from the heat, the authorities have arranged for water sprays along the route. A large number of security personnel, including magistrates and police, have been deployed to maintain order and security. Advanced surveillance technology, including CCTV cameras and drones, is also being used.
