Various leaders in Jharkhand, including the Governor, the Chief Minister, and the Leader of Opposition, have conveyed their heartfelt wishes to the people of the state for Karma Puja. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar shared his greetings on social media, acknowledging the festival’s importance for brother-sister relationships, environmental conservation, and environmental balance. He wished everyone good health, happiness, and prosperity.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren also offered his congratulations, describing Karma Puja as a celebration of the state’s rich culture, civilization, and way of life. He emphasized that this festival celebrates the strong bond between siblings, social harmony, and the deep respect for nature. The Chief Minister pointed out that it is a gift passed down from their ancestors and that this festival helps people seek well-being, good harvests, and a healthy society.
He highlighted that people’s lives are closely linked with water, forests, soil, and animals. He stated that Karma Puja gives the message of living in harmony with nature for continuous development of life and society. He urged the people to preserve their customs and traditions, empower society, and protect the environment, while wishing for a life filled with happiness, peace, and prosperity.
Babulal Marandi, the BJP State President and Leader of the Opposition, also extended his wishes, highlighting Karma Puja as a symbol of tribal culture, traditions, and deep connections to nature. He urged the people to draw inspiration from the tribal way of life and their love for nature, to strengthen the commitment to environmental protection and social harmony.
