The final rites for Bharat Kapoor, the younger brother of Minister Yogendra Prasad, were performed on Thursday morning at Borobing, near the Damodar River. The procession began at 8 AM, with Minister Yogendra Prasad, his brother Chitragupt Mahto, and his son Vinay Kapoor participating. Aditya Kapoor, son of Bharat Kapoor, lit the pyre. Thousands of supporters and well-wishers attended. Several leaders, including JMM Central Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya and State Minister Fagu Besra, were present to offer condolences. Giridih MP Chandraprakash Choudhary and MLA Roshanlal Choudhary also paid their respects. Representatives from Bokaro and Ramgarh districts, including the Vice President of Bokaro ZP and the head of Kasmar, were among the attendees, along with thousands from Gomia and Ramgarh. Bharat Kapoor passed away in Hyderabad’s AIG Hospital on July 2 after receiving treatment for approximately nine days.
