JPSC‑JSSC protest intensifies, leaders demand CBI probe and Soren resignation

The agitation gained fresh momentum after student leaders declared that a boycott of the CM residence will be followed by a symbolic effigy burning of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and senior Congress figure Rahul Gandhi across all 24 districts on Sunday. An ultimatum has been set for August 18, urging the state authorities to address all demands or face a second encirclement of the CM’s house. Earlier, on August 10, protesters had surrounded the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly to press their case.
