The Jharkhand government will provide hostel accommodation in Delhi for students from the state who are preparing for the UPSC examinations. Welfare Minister Chamra Linda announced this initiative. Minister Linda attended a cultural dance competition as the chief guest, which was organized by the Tribal Society at St. Xavier’s College in Ranchi. During his speech, he shared that the project was inspired by the Meena community’s efforts. He explained that the Meena community officials constructed a building in the Dwarka area of Delhi specifically for their community’s students, which the Jharkhand government considered as a guide for this project.
He also highlighted the significance of increasing the participation of tribal youth in prestigious services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He mentioned the vital role senior administrative officers and ministers have in driving the state’s development. The minister encouraged young people to persist in their endeavors and develop their skills through education. He also mentioned that the government is taking every possible step for the advancement of the tribal community.
