A notable success has been achieved by security forces in the direction of making Jharkhand free from Naxal and extremist influence. Under the influence of Jharkhand government’s surrender and rehabilitation policy, 9 extremists of the banned extremist organization Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad (JJMP) surrendered in Latehar district on Monday with 12 high-tech weapons. Among these, a reward of more than 20 lakh rupees was announced on five extremists. During the surrender, senior officers of Jharkhand Police and CRPF were present. The surrendered weapons included AK-47s, SLRs, and other firearms.
