In a somber development from West Singhbhum, Head Constable Rajesh Kumar, 52, of the CRPF’s 193rd F Battalion, has died under mysterious conditions while on duty in the Saranda forest area. The incident occurred at the Chhotanagra CRPF camp in Manoharpur block.
Sources report that on Saturday, Kumar suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed while on duty. He was quickly transported to the Manoharpur Community Health Centre by his fellow jawans. The attending physicians confirmed his demise. Although initial medical observations suggest a heart attack, a conclusive determination of the cause of death awaits the forensic analysis from the post-mortem report.
Kumar, who was on deputation from Musabani in East Singhbhum, was actively engaged in the mission to eradicate Naxal influence from the Saranda region. He was consistently noted for his dedication and active participation in operational assignments.
The news of his sudden death has deeply impacted the morale of the CRPF personnel. His peers remember Rajesh Kumar as a highly disciplined, honest, and diligent officer, whose absence will leave a void within the battalion.
