The Jharkhand government, under the direction of the Chief Secretary, is prioritizing the implementation of a flawless e-office system. The IT Department has been given the mandate to ensure the system is completely free of errors. A comprehensive review with the heads of all state government departments was conducted to discuss the execution strategy. The IT department has already started working on an action plan to make this transition smooth. The target date for the completion of the e-office system is January 2026. Technical experts from RailTel, NIC, and JAPIT, who presented on the implementation, were instructed to set a timeline. A key focus is on the security of government files, ensuring they are protected from cyber threats. The goal is to make the technical setup efficient to prevent delays and enable e-office access from outside the office. The first step is to scan and upload all old files as PDF files. The Chief Secretary assessed the advancement of the e-office light on Monday.
